Municipality of Bautista is located in the eastern portion of Pangasinan and its within the 5th Congressional District of the Province of Pangasinan. It has a total land area of 8,312 hectares and it is 32 kilometers away from the  City of Dagupan. Bautista is bounded by the municipalities of Alcala on the north; Bayambang on the south; the Agno River and Bayambang on the west; and Moncada, Tarlac on the east.

The town  of Bautista derived it's  name from the Saint named San Juan Bautista(St.John, the Baptist) known in the church parlance as the "Voice of the Wildreness and the Precursor of the Lord" for whose greatness consist entirely in his mission for preparing the Way for Jesus Christ.

 In honor of San Juan Bautista, the town's patron saint, the municipality annually clebrates its town fiesta on the 23rd and 24th of June which is the nativity of St. John, the Baptist
